SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. - Sandy Springs authorities have charged an 11-year-old baby sitter with felony murder and child cruelty in the death of a 2-year-old girl.
Sandy Springs Police Lt. Steve Rose said Tuesday Zyda White died of blunt force trauma Saturday. He did not release the name of the baby sitter.
Police said the toddler’s mother, Ashlea Collier, called 911 after she picked her daughter up Saturday night. The child died later at Scottish Rite Hospital.
Collier said that the baby sitter ’needs to do life.’"
