Tamara Lashae 'Buck" Cheeks(January 24, 1985 ~ August 15, 2009)
Tamara Lashae Cheeks, 24, of Syracuse, departed this life, Saturday, August 15, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was a life resident of Syracuse. Tamara graduated from Fowler High School and attended Onondaga County Community College. She was preceded in death by her father John Black in 2006.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Matthew Cheeks,; her mother and stepfather Pearlie M. and Fred Burgess; five sisters Talaka Black , Tantilera Boatwright (Meshiah), Jill Noel-Saint, Mary Murrell (Andra) and Lorrie Willis; three brothers Roderick Brown, Vince Armstrong and Fred Burgess II; a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and her beloved dog “Petey”.
Calling hours will be Friday 10am-11am at Living Water Church of God in Christ, 121 Huron Street, Syracuse, NY. 13207, with funeral services to follow at 11am. Correspondence may be sent c/o Pearlie M. Burgess, 316 ½ Hawley Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13203.
