Theodore Holmes October 10, 2010 Theodore Holmes, 66, of Syracuse, passed away Sunday at Crouse Hospital. Born in Albany, Georgia, he resided in Syracuse for 45 years. Theodore retired from Oberdorfer Foundries after 25 years of service. He was a member of Local 1826 UAW. Survivors: his wife, Julia (Carter) Holmes; sons, Sean Holmes and Excell Maurice Holmes, both of Syracuse, Wayne (Frances) Holmes of Pehlam, GA, and Dexter Lee (Jackyln) Holmes of Miami, FL; sisters, Clara (Drew) Coe of Newton, GA, and Ernestine (Greg) Lilly of Albany, GA; brother, Robert (Gloria) Holmes of Syracuse; devoted sisters-in-law, Martha Putman and Brenda Carter, both of Syracuse, and Dolores Holmes of Camilla, GA; mother-in-law, Loree Alford of Syracuse; aunt, Weslie Mae Brown of Albany, GA; uncle, Author Lee Brown of Albany, GA; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and good friends.
